Ten Gadgets for Travel

"Without technology we'd be carrying around a lot less baggage. But then we'd also lose out on all that coveted/addicted/necessary connectivity that advances us globally. Indeed with technology there is a lot of gadgetry to keep track of. So much so that and our suitcases often look more like a black market Radio Shack than a three-day business trip. But what are the options otherwise? Dare to forget a major cord, wire, or, Internet capable device? The results could be disastrous!"

Old Geek Perspective: I think that without today's technology, we would be carrying around MORE baggage. Rather than carrying an iPhone and/or iPad, imagine needing to carry a laptop (again) simply for email. And don't forget the modem (assuming travel in the dark ages before wi-fi). And don't forget those huge old power bricks. And think of all those manila folders and files, and books that also used to get lugged along. Todays accessories are small, and often can be shared. Anyway, this article lists some useful stuff for world travelers. Do you readers have travel gear that you just can't live without while traveling?
