iOS Apps Better Than The Ones That Come With Your iOS Device

"As great as Apple software is, we've all benefited from dozens of iPhone and other iOS applications that overshadow or completely replace some of Apple's default apps on our mobile devices."

I've experimented, as I'm sure you have as well, with various iOS apps that "improve" upon what Apple provides with iOS. At least that is what we are lead to believe, but for the most part, I go with the apps that Apple provides for the basics, such as notes, calculator and calendar. When it comes to the specialty sites, such as Dropbox, I definitely go with the app, as well as for the banking versus going through mobile Safari. The three apps they discuss in this article also look intriguing, however I'm thinking what I will end up doing is going right back to my iPod, iPhoto and iTunes apps that came with iOS after trying these out. Simpler sometimes is better. What are your thoughts about what Apple provides and what you can get at the App Store? Any that standout as must have apps that replace what you can do with the iOS?
