Apple Thoughts: OS X Shows Gain in Market Share

"January was a good month for both the emerging Windows 7 and the venerable Mac OS, according to Web metrics company Net Applications. The Mac OS is now hovering around the 10 percent mark among operating systems accessing the Web."

To go along with the iPhone market share increase, users accessing the web did so with OS X 9.93 percent of the time, up from 9.63 percent in December 2008. Interesting to note, while Windows was still number one overall, it is in a slight downward trend going down to 88.26 percent in January from 88.68 percent in December 2008.
