Even by Shipley's own admission, it's Amazon's API and they have the right to control it any way they want. It's a shame they yanked an app that people like, but again, it's their right. I think in the end, the only thing it'll do is make developers less willing to use Amazon's APIs in the future for any projects, which won't really be helping Amazon.

Control comes at a price.
