Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Announced

"Adobe on Wednesday morning announced Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 (Mac and Windows versions), offering automated and "intelligent" photo-editing software for consumers"
Adobe calls this the perfect complement to iPhoto, and this version will have all of the features in Adobe Bridge CS4 software as well as all the intelligent photo-editing features that are found in the Windows version. The Windows version is available now, the Intel only Mac version, requiring OS X 10.4 Tiger or later (Snow Leopard compatible), will be available in October this year for $100.00 USD. Adobe is offering a $20.00 USD main-in rebate through October 31st for the electronic delivery version.
