Apple Thoughts: iPhone 3GS Hits 4% of US Cell Subscribers in 2009

"Apple's iPhone 3G garnered 4 percent of U.S. cell phone subscribers in 2009, ranking No. 1 in single handset models, according to an Internet research firm. The iPhone beat the RIM BlackBerry and Motorola RAZR, which placed 2nd and 3rd."

When you combine brands from the same chart, LG has 6.4% followed by RIM with 6.3% of the market. This covers January through October of this year. They also noted that iPhone had 8.97 million users versus Microsoft Mobile phones with 7.13 million users. iPhone is still the phone to beat, no wonder they tag every iPhone-like phone coming out with the  "Is this the iPhone killer?" question.
