The Grey Market Paying off in iPad Sales, But Not to Apple

"The iPad appears to be selling well in Asia despite the fact that Apple's official overseas launch isn't until the end of May, as specialty stores obtain them to resell at premium prices and travelers to the U.S. bring them home."

The grey market for resellers is paying dividends for some of these resellers. In Taiwan, they are paying quite the premium, almost twice what we can get the Wi-Fi versions here for in the US. In US dollars, they are paying roughly $800.00 for the 16GB version, $925.00 for the 32GB version and a hefty $1,020.00 for the 64GB version. Wasn't there a limit of two per person on these things? If that held, they must have had a huge number of people just buying for the reseller to ship overseas.
