"You didn't think BMW would be the only one releasing hideous in-car iPad integration, did you? Mercedes-Benz, a company we previously thought had a bit more class, has released images of its strikingly similar headrest-mounted iPad docks."

We reported last month about BMW and their iPad setup, and now Mercedes-Benz if following right behind. It might not look great but it sure looks better than those DVD player setups that hang over the seats.

"BMW didn't waste anytime embracing the iPad as the future of in-car entertainment, did they?"

Interesting setup, the article has several other photos of the iPad and iPhone in use, and I wonder how many other car companies will "embrace the iPad" now that BMW has made the jump?

"If you are picking up a Bimmer in 2011, you'll notice a new level of iPhone and iPod integration."

I would have thought this would have been in place long before now. At least now I'll know how far to go back to if/when I start looking at used BMWs in a few years.
