Make Your Own Comic Book With, What Else.... ComicBook!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 06:23 PM

"3DTOPO Inc. has released their new comic book creation app, ComicBook! After designing your realistic comic featuring you and your friends, you can tag everyone and share to Facebook."

I like these comic book apps, I'm just not witty enough to make the dialogue interesting. How about you, ever use one of these apps, or this particular app? Any thoughts?

Check out the rest of the comic here - funny stuff! No, there's no Windows Phone user yet, but that's not surprising right?

Flash and the Poisoned Apple!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "The Competition" @ 09:32 AM

"Listen, Adobe. I come to you under a white flag to try and warn you: a little collateral damage like a dead JLA member isn't going to stop this guy. He's put out an iFatwa on all things Flash, and he doesn't let a failed launch set him back."

$15.00 USD will get you a t-shirt with the graphic above on it, very funny!

Comic Book Reader for Desktop and iPhone/iPod Touch

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch)" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.macworld.com/article/145...l?lsrc=rss_main

"Comic books have been available in digital form for quite a while-often as illegal scans distributed through file-sharing sites-but legal downloadable comics are on the rise, and comic book reader apps are popping up to meet this demand."

This free app works with the desktop version from Bitcartel. The desktop version retails for $25.00 USD but you can try the free version out so you can transfer your comics to your iPod Touch or iPhone. Only difference between the paid and free versions is a watermark that is displayed. However, if you get good use out of a program, might as well support the developer right? The website also says they are working on a Kindle application of some kind. This would work well on the iPhone but as far as on the Kindle with no color? I suppose...

Use iPhoto to Find Superheroes!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 10:00 AM

http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2009/...real-power.html

"The always wonderful Joy of Tech takes a look at iPhoto's new face recognition feature. We always wondered why a pair of specs and hair parted on the other side was enough to fool even the woman he'd slept with. I also wonder how Lois managed to get face recognition to work properly. My version of iLife '09 is truly useless."

I have yet to find any superheroes in my collection of photos but I thought I better put this out there as another tool for you to use in your search for secret identities. Doesn't sound like the writer from wired is having too much luck with his. Oh well, the comic is certainly funny.
