Gorillamobile for the iPhone 4

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 08:00 AM

http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/09/...ally-to-iphone/

"Are you ready for a barrage of Apple-specific peripherals from the labs of Joby? Can't say we are either, but they're coming regardless. Today, the famed creator of the original Gorillapod has pumped out a seriously overhauled version of the Gorillamobile, with this one designed to work specifically (and only) with the iPhone 4."

Available today for $39.95 USD, it comes with a case the iPhone 4 slides into, which then attaches to the tripod. Looks fairly simple but effective. Check out the Joby site for more info.

Need a Flashlight?

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "The Competition" @ 03:00 AM

"If you've ever found yourself digging around in the back of your closet or the bottom of a storage container wishing that you had a flashlight, Joby feels your pain and has a solution."

I have several Joby products, and love them. This one is a new twist since my other ones are for cameras. The flashlight is a 130 lumen LED flashlight that has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. At $59.95 USD it is a bit on the pricey end but what price can you put on the relief you feel after finding your way out of the dark right? You can find more info about this new product at the Joby website.

Gorillamobile Updates Their Line as Well as Their App

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Other Apple Hardware" @ 07:00 AM

http://www.macworld.com/article/146...l?lsrc=rss_news

"Joby, maker of those alien-looking, bendy camera tripods, has announced additions to its Gorillamobile line at the Macworld Expo. There a flexible set of legs for the iPod Touch, an updated iPhone camera app, and a new LED flashlight."

I have several of these and really like how they work. I really like the LED Flashlight they came out with that is pictured above. The free Gorillacam iPhone App was also updated so you get a 4x digital zoom, a tap-to-focus tool (3GS only) and it has added some anti-shake capability for those times when you shouldn't have had that last Red Bull. You can find out all about their products at Joby.com.

Joby Offers Gorilla App

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch)" @ 10:00 PM

http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2009/12...the-gorillacam/

"Joby, makers of the various Gorilla accessories - the GorillaPod, the GorillaTorch, GorillaMobile, etc - have just unveiled their first iPhone app: the Gorillacam. The free app provides a number of features to improve the usefulness of the iPhone camera, including a grid for rule-of-thirds shots, making the entire touchscreen a shutter button, burst photo sequences, and much more."

Handy little app, and best of all it is free.
