Slacker is an Internet streaming radio service (US only). User can access Slacker in a variety of ways, including browser based web streaming, via wi-fi on the Slacker Portable Radio Player, and via wi-fi over the Slacker application for iPhone/iPod Touch, the subject of this review.

Slacker for iPhone Now Available

Posted by Vincent Ferrari in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch)" @ 07:00 AM

"The definition of "radio" is changing right before our eyes. And listeners know this. One review on iTunes calls the Slacker iPhone app the "first killer radio app... not only does the Slacker app set the bar, but it changes things completely." Another reviewer says that "words cannot express how awesome this app is," while yet another states that "SiriusXM is in trouble."

Surely you've heard of Slacker. It was destined to solve world peace, the conflict in the Middle East, the weak economy, and homelessness all while providing the greatest music experience in existence. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but the reality is the hopes for it have always been very high and now the software has made its way onto the iPhone to an extremely positive reception. Anyone try it out yet?
