iBackFlip Review

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 05:00 AM

http://www.tuaw.com/2012/05/27/ibac...-for-your-ipad/

"Back at Macworld | iWorld 2012, TUAW editor-in-chief Victor Agreda had a chance to talk with the creator of the iBackFlip Somersault (US$89.95). Now that this iPad bag has been in the wild for a time and has gone through a few design revisions, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to review the Somersault."

What piqued my interest was the fact that you could fit 11 inch Macbook Air as well as an iPad inside this bag as I'm constantly on the lookout for the perfect bag. As of today, however, I am still in search mode. This one doesn't have quite enough storage for my tastes, and I don't need a bag that I can wear and keep functionality of my iPad. If you do have such a need, this might be the one for you! If nothing else, at least go to the end of the article so you can enter to win the bag and sell it or give to someone that does have a need for this particular type of bag.

My Favourite iPad Bag: the iPad Travel Express by Waterfield Designs

Posted by Jason Dunn in "Laptop Thoughts Accessories" @ 07:00 AM

This is a review video of the iPad Travel Express, made by Waterfield Designs in the USA. This is a well-designed, sturdy bag that's perfect for carrying your iPad (with or without the Smart Cover), the Apple Bluetooth keyboard, the iPad sync cable and AC adaptor, along with a few other small items (wallet, phone, MP3 player, etc.). It's not a low-cost bag - you're definitely paying for the quality of the materials and the fact that it's made in the USA - but it's one of the best bags of its type that I've used and I highly recommend it. The DecalGirl skin shown in the video can be purchased here. [Affiliate]

Skooba Design Releases Designed by Women, For Women Line of Bags: The Harmony Collection

Posted by Jason Dunn in "Digital Home Hardware & Accessories" @ 07:32 PM

http://www.skoobadesign.com/shop-by...mony-collection

"Skooba Design has added a collection of products designed exclusively for women to its award-winning line of laptop bags and tech/travel accessories. The bags in the new HarmonyTM collection blend the look, fashion and quality of a high-end tote or handbag with the capacity and protection of a laptop bag. Skooba's Julie Zepke, who lead the Harmony project, says "Harmony was designed by women for women, to make sure that the bags reflect the way we really carry and use things." Zepke continues, "too many other laptop bags are just masculine, tech-centric designs slightly modified or decorated to be marketed to women. We took the reverse approach-designing beautiful handbags and then making them work with technology." Zepke says the Harmony name represents the ideal marriage of fashion and function."

I've tended to think of Skooba Design's bags are being basically unisex, but the new Harmony line is certainly more fashionable than anything Skooba has done before. Remember you can use the coupon code DIGIDEAL to save 20% off any order of $50 or more.

Viper Rush from Booq Bag

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Laptops" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.gearlog.com/2009/10/lapt...ke_you_to_w.php

"Take a look at the Viper Rush, a laptop bag released today. If the name alone doesn't get your adrenalin pumping, consider that this is a "work-in" case. It's for busy professionals who don't have time to remove their notebooks from their bags, thank you very much; just open the top and start computing."

I like the concept, all in one bag you don't even have to take the laptop out of to use. Sounds like it would be perfect for travelers or if you are limited in space where you work. Retails for $129.95 USD, more info at the Booq Bag site.
