I Wish I Had Stopped At This Goodwill!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 03:00 AM

"Sometimes you wake up, and life's just out to kick you in the junk as hard as it can. Other days, you wake up and the whole world is smiling on you."

And it certainly smiled on this guy, picking up an iPad 2 for $65.00 USD at his local Goodwill Store. Wow.

Best Buy Deals on iTunes Gift Cards

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 11:03 AM

http://www.edibleapple.com/2011/12/...+(Edible+Apple)

"It's not quite as good as the deal Walmart recently had, but bargain shoppers might be glad to now that Best Buy is currently running a 15% off sale across their entire line of iTunes gift cards."

Not bad if you need some credit on your iTunes account, 15% is nothing to sneeze at right? If you go for the $100.00 USD gift card you will only be out of pocket $85.00 USD. Check the deal out at Best Buy but don't delay, no idea when this deal will be over.

Bundled Software Time Again

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 08:57 AM

http://www.macworld.com/article/158...l#lsrc.rss_main

"The Mac App Store might be getting all the publicity-and Apple's love-these days, but independent developers still have other ways of getting their products in front of the public: the software bundle, for example. And right now, Mac users have three bundles to choose from, offering a combined 29 apps for less than $140."

I can usually get one or two programs out of these bundles that I can use, and this time is no exception with Debtinator and Chronicle. I like MacBundles because if I don't want all ten of these items I can build my own using just five of them, or make my own ten bundle deal using the current ones plus some other options. But this isn't the only bundle out there as you can also get some deals with the MacUpdate Bundle and the Mac SuperBundle. These deals are expiring this and next month so check them out so you don't miss the deals.

Here is a Deal, $20 Amazon.com Gift Card for $10

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "The Competition" @ 08:35 AM

http://www.readwriteweb.com/archive...+(ReadWriteWeb)

"Today looks to be a record-breaking day for the daily deal site LivingSocial. It's offering a nationwide deal: a $20 Amazon gift card for $10. In just the first few hours of the sale, users have already purchased over 243,000 coupons."

You can access the deal here, and all it requires is a Living Social account to take advantage of the offer. I took advantage and unfortunately it appears only one per customer. Oh well, saving 10 bucks is nothing to sneeze at right?

Get a Deal on the iPhone 3GS From AT&T

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 02:22 PM

http://osxdaily.com/2011/01/06/ipho...t=Google+Reader

"Starting January 7, new and existing AT&T customers can get the iPhone 3GS 8GB model for just $49, this is not a refurbished unit, it's brand new. The low price is valid only through AT&T stores and online, which has caused many to speculate the reason for the price drop is to try and grab as many customers as possible before the release of a Verizon iPhone that is anticipated sometime in the near future."

$49.00 USD is a heckuva deal, so it sounds like they may be clearing out inventory or trying to snag customers into sticking around ahead of the pending Verizon (rumored of course) deal with Apple.

Speaking of Financial Apps...

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 02:00 AM

http://dealmac.com/Page-Once-Pro-Mo...ree/423015.html

"The iTunes App Store offers downloads of PageOnce Pro: Money & Bills for iPad / iPhone / iPod touch for free. That's a $13 drop and the best deal we've seen for this finance tool."

I really like PageOnce Pro, and have used it in all of it's various incarnations to check balances on all my financial accounts. Now that it is free, it's an even better deal and since we were talking about getting out of debt earlier today, isn't a free app that monitors your financial health a right step?

A Deal on a Hard Shell Case for Your iPad

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 09:41 AM

http://osxdaily.com/2011/01/02/ipad...ly+(OS+X+Daily)

"If you want a hard shell case for your iPad, well, look no further because this one is a buck. Sound too good to be true? It's not, Amazon is offering the CaseCrown Hard Shell Case for iPad for $1plus $4.99 shipping and handling, which is 95% off the retail price."

A buck? Yep, hard to believe but it's true. This case [affiliate link] is simple but it works as intended, namely protecting your WiFi or 3G model iPad from bumps and bruises. You can also get it in a variety of colors [affiliate link].

Radio Shack Deal on iPhone 4 and 3GS Ends Today

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 08:59 AM

http://www.gearlog.com/2010/12/ipho...davis+(Gearlog)

"Radio Shack is extending its iPhone sale until Friday December 31st, thanks to a number of store sellouts. The retailer is offering up the 16GB iPhone 4 for $148.99 through the end of the year. The 8GB version of its predecessor, the iPhone 3Gs, is priced at $48.99. Both models are marked down $51 from their suggested retail price."

Refurbished iPhones are also being discounted, the 16GB iPhone 4 can be purchased for $124.00 USD and the 32GB version of the iPhone 4 can be yours for $224.00 USD. Now all you have to do is find them in stock.

Sam's Club Selling iPhone 4 for $147

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 01:00 PM

http://www.gearlog.com/2010/12/ipho...davis+(Gearlog)

"Where's the cheapest place to pick up an iPhone 4 these days? For the next week or so, that title belongs to Walmart offshoot Sam's Club."

This beats the Radio Shack deal of $149.00 USD and will extend until Christmas Day. This is for the 16GB version, and if you don't want to spend that much for an iPhone 4, you can pick up the 3GS version for $47.00 USD. Sometimes it does pay to wait until the last minute to get your Christmas shopping done eh?

$50 iTunes Gift Card for $40

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.9to5mac.com/43313/apple-...e+Intelligence)

"Best Buy offers the Apple iTunes $50 holiday Gift Card for $40 with free shipping. That's $10 off and tied with Best Buy's Black Friday deal for one of the best deals we've seen on iTunes gift cards this year. Ships in time for Christmas."

Not a bad deal if you need a last minute stocking stuffer. It appears from the product page at Best Buy though, you can only do in-store pickup, thus no wonder it will be available for Christmas! Still it is worth it if you have a Best Buy in your area and the online ordering allows you to choose your store.

The iPad on QVC, is it Such a Good Deal?

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 04:30 PM

http://www.tuaw.com/2010/12/09/qvc-...t-a-nice-price/

"Shopping channel QVC, of all places, has a pretty good iPad deal going on right now. It's offering up Apple's magical and revolutionary device (in a 16GB Wi-Fi version) along with a ton of accessories for US $749. In that price, you get the dock connector cable, a silicon sleeve and stand, a clear case to put it in, a headphone splitter cable, two different screen protectors, and another case/stand to use. If you were planning to buy an iPad and all of these accessories anyway, that's as good a deal as you'll find."

Let's see, new iPad cost $499.00 USD from Apple, so this would mean the accessories were valued at $250.00 USD. I checked the QVC site and they list the following: "Includes iPad, dock connector/USB cable, power adapter, silicone sleeve with stand, DC charger, clear TPU case, headphone splitter, two screen protectors, case stand." This doesn't sound like $250.00 of value to me, but I suppose it's one way to get an iPad you didn't have credit, or enough cash on hand to buy one outright, since they break up the payments into 5 installments. Quite a premium though it seems like to me, what are your thoughts?

http://www.9to5mac.com/35647/750gb-...e+Intelligence)

So if you want to get the Seagate Drive from Amazon.com [affiliate link], today is the day since it is a one day only deal according to the article. It is powered off USB so you won't have to carry a power cable with you, but you will have to format it since it comes formatted for Windows.

Deal on MacBook in Apple Store

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Laptops" @ 10:00 AM

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/ho...mac?mco=MTE3NjY

Deal on a refurbished MacBook if you are in the market. I have purchased a few items via the refurb route and haven't had any problems. Good deal if you are in the market for one, if so head on over to Apple.
