Save Money on Your Apps

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 03:00 AM

http://www.cultofmac.com/158096/be-...-apps-for-less/

"There are now over 500,000 iPhone apps and 170,000 iPad apps available on Apple's App Store and that number will surely continue to increase as new app developers enter the foray."

And it certainly helps the wallet when you can save on those apps doesn't it? I mainly watch for deals on the eCards via Best Buy and Walmart for iTunes Gift Cards. But that isn't the only way to save, and this article points out a few more tips that you might find handy.

One Last Black Friday Post

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 06:00 AM

http://www.digitaltrends.com/comput...eals-for-apple/

"The stingiest of Black Friday retailers, Apple, will be offering some shallow discounts this weekend. But if a Mac or iOS device is on your list this year, check out these alternatives that will save you cash and possibly from being mocked by someone in a blue shirt holding an iPad."

One last post before we head into the Thanksgiving Holiday, and this one should help ease some of your frustration. The list has several ways to shop online and to make the experience bearable, perhaps you won't even have to leave your house!

Cyber Monday, Where Will You Be Shopping?

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "The Competition" @ 04:50 AM

"Hopefully, you're all rested up from the big shopping weekend, and now you're ready to get back to a solid day of shopping. It's Cyber Monday, so set aside your work and your fantasy football leagues and spend a few hours looking for some good iPhone, iPad and iPod app and accessory deals. Whether free or drastically reduced in price, there are some good sales still going on."

Several sites are posting "Cyber Monday" deals, including Apple, Amazon.com, Best Buy and Wal-Mart. MacInTouch also has set up a page highlighting some other deals from various software and hardware sites on their page. All in all, plenty of options today for shopping deals, where are you going to shop? Any great deals that you have found? If so, let us know!

Online or In Person, That is the Question

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "The Competition" @ 12:00 AM

http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/ziff..._deal_motor.php

"Four days left until Black Friday! Time to start camping out in front of your computer. Amazon this morning kicked off Black Friday week with a landing page devoted to the consumer holiday. The page is devoted to more than just Friday, with "doorbuster-style deals now through Cyber Monday"--a full week of discounts, starting today."

If you are like me, I avoid Black Friday shopping like the plague. No deal is worth dealing with the crowds in my opinion, but over the last few years I haven't had to thanks to the Internet. You can go to the Amazon.com Black Friday Deals page to get some bargains, and it's actually up and running now so you can get a jump start on shopping. But they aren't the only source for online deals as this story from Appletell proves, listing a number of online deals you can take advantage of right now. And for you Xbox fans, you aren't left out in the cold since Microsoft has some deals for you as well. But if you just have to go out and brave the crowds, a story posted at TechCrunch may be of use to you, as they recommend using DealMap to find all the best Black Friday shopping deals in your area. So if you choose to sit on the couch, or brave the crowds, there is some help for you. Good Luck!

Bundle Sale, and a Site for Discounts

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 07:07 PM

http://www.macfriendly.org/

"Save over 85% off the list prices when you purchase the MacFriendly Bundle."

A good selection of software in this bundle, but hurry because the sale over at MacFriendly ends in about 8 days. If this isn't enough you can also check out Mac App Deals for some deals on software and/or on bundles. It's sort of a clearing house for deals on Mac software from the web.

Black Friday Deals So You Can Make a List!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 06:00 AM

http://gizmodo.com/5409460/black-fr...kyline=true&s=x

"Black Friday is a week away, and thousands of markdowns are already announced. Our master list of Giz-friendly deals-a hefty read-includes similar items priced differently at different stores. Keep it refreshed, cuz we'll be updating it all week."

Nice rundown of some deals and also some that aren't such a great deal. In case you are going to be brave and venture outside, checkout the list for some ideas. Or if you are like me and going to be doing some online shopping, you can still find the list useful. TUAW also has a list on their site as does Macworld so no excuses about being uninformed!

Happy Black Friday!
