Mint 2.0 for iOS Released

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 01:00 AM

"Mint.com announced the immediate availability of Mint 2.0 for iOS on Wednesday. The new version of the financial management app added an iPad-native interface, along with support for viewing budgets and other account information without an Internet connection."

It's a free download from iTunes, and actually not a bad finance app. I started using Mint about 6 months ago, and while I still use Pageonce, I'm finding that Mint is working out better for me as far as timely information. What do you use to keep your finances in order?

Mint Updates Their App

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 10:00 AM

"Mint.com has upgraded its iPhone app to free users from the tyranny of needing a desktop computer to organize their finances-but it is leaving users of older iOS operating systems behind."

The Mint app is handy, but I don't rely solely on it for my financial information since the updates routed through this app from the bank or credit card company have always been a bit delayed. But it does work well for friendly reminders on due dates for bills, balance checks, and budgeting. Now with this update you don't even need a desktop to manage the information or to sign up for the service. However, you will also need to drop your old beat up iOS 3.x software to use it.

Need Some Financial Help? Perhaps One of These Mobile Solutions is For You

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 10:30 PM

"As the nation digs out from one of the worst financial crises in history, guess what is the No. 1 financial New Year's resolution? If you answered, "Get out of debt" - DING! DING! DING! - you are correct."

And a few of these apps may actually help you accomplish that goal, if it's one of your goals that is. For me, I'm trying to scale back on "things" and that includes the apps on my iPad and iPhone. But if I keep reading list stories I will never get there, especially the stories like this one, that actually has some good apps on it. I use a couple on this list, namely Mint and a different gas app called Fuel Finder [affiliate link]. Gas Buddy is free, but I really like the interface of the Fuel Finder app, which costs $2.99 USD. As far as the rest of the apps on the list, some are free, some are paid, but one thing is for certain when you go through lists like this - keep paying for apps on lists and you will never get out of debt!
