UK iTunes gets HD Options

"Several MacRumors readers have written in to report that Apple has begun offering high-definition movies for sale in its UK iTunes Store. A very limited library of titles appears to be available at the moment with, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse appearing to be the highest-profile release available for purchase in HD."

The normally £9.99 SD films are going for £12.99 if you want it in HD, and the normally £6.99 SD films are selling for £7.99 in HD. They used to only offer renting as an option, so it's good they are expanding the options for those in the UK. It sure seems to take a lot longer than it does in the US, and since I'm not all that familiar with licensing I'm just assuming that is the case? What are your thoughts?
