Summary: Am I the only one who has gigabytes of photographs gathering digital dust on my hard drive? I'm not, right? And why? Because ink and photo paper is expensive, and it would take me forever to print them out! And then what? Invite the family over for a sit-down where you pass one photo hand-over-hand to the person on your right, over and over? No, no, this can't go on, and that's exactly what went through the brilliant minds over at Viovio. What if you could pick up a book, and inside have your photos displayed on high quality photo paper? And what if it had interesting notes and text, amid a visual playground that didn't just display your photos, but presented them? Viovio turns Family-Vacation-Photo-Night into an upper scale gala, thick with praise and hyperbole, but more importantly with love. And speaking of love, hidden in this review is a 20% off coupon for you to use! Read more...

Tips For Printing Envelopes

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Articles & Resources" @ 09:00 AM

"Mac OS X's Address Book app is capable of printing elegant envelopes, but if you use the default settings, you'll churn out envelopes that are workmanlike, but dull. With very little effort, you can create a custom envelope template, adjust the sizes of the address blocks, and spice up your envelope with a new font, a splash of color, or even a company logo."

This certainly can save you some custom envelope printing charges. I found this article today after having to do just this over the weekend. This is a great step-by-step article on how to print your own envelopes and use custom logos if you so choose. Well worth the read.

HP Read My Mind

Posted by Vincent Ferrari in "Apple iPhone & iPod Touch" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.hp.com/united-states/con..._go/iprintphoto

"HP iPrint Photo is a free downloadable software application that allows you to quickly and easily print 4" x 6" photos. Images stored on your iPhone or iPod touch can print on most HP networked ink jet printers connected to a local WiFi network. Wireless printing is a fun extension of the iPhone / iPod touch's easy photo capture and viewing experience."

This is the kind of thing I love; a company thinking about what its users might want and then making it happen. In this case, HP took out its mind-reading hats and created an app that lets you print photos directly from your iPhone to an HP wireless printer. The quality is excellent, there's no configuration involved, and it's smart enough to pull the paper from the 4x6 tray meaning you just pick, click, and print. I've been hoping someone would figure out photo printing from the iPhone and after trying this one out, I'm glad it was HP. It works flawlessly as advertised. The camera on my iPhone just got a whole lot more useful.
