Find out all you want to know, or at least what they are willing to tell you, about Steve Jobs tonight. He will be featured on the CNBC show Moguls, Mavericks and Empires.

"CNBC released a brand new iPad app late Monday, delivering the first truly useful, real-time market updates dashboard for the device."

This free app for iPad [link] and iPhone [link] is very well done, and it gives you all the information you need to follow the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. You can also see articles and videos from CNBC.com using this app. The dashboard can be customized and you can also keep track of your stocks and individual portfolios, as well as save stuff for viewing later offline. The app is pretty feature-rich and well done, and doesn't appear to have the delay for stock quotes that other apps have such as Bloomberg.

"On January 7th, 2009 at 10:00 PM ET, CNBC will be taking a closer look at how the world of mobile apps has changed the way we live with their new one-hour program 'Planet of the Apps: A Hand-Held Revolution!'"

Besides looking at what happened since the iTunes App Store opened in 2007, they will also be looking at what the competition is doing to battle Apple on this front. The show will "take a look at how the industry is changing the way we live" and sounds like they may get into some dirt, as part of the summary talks about the approval process and the problems that developers have encountered. Should be an interesting show, and comes on the heels of the CNBC debut of "Welcome to Macintosh" tonight at 9:30pm Eastern and "MacHeads, The Movie" tomorrow night and 10pm Eastern.

"If recent CNBC listings are anything to go by, someone in their programming department got wind that there is set to be an exciting new Apple product announced next month. Hot on the heels of news about CNBC's planned airing of the Welcome to Macintosh documentary on January 4th comes word that that the 60 minute documentary MacHEADS will air a day later on January 5th, 2010 at 10PM ET."

First "Welcome to Macintosh" and now "MacHEADS" will air on CNBC. If you miss it on January 5th, you can also catch it on January 6th at 1AM ET, January 7th at 9PM ET, January 8th at 12AM ET, January 9th at 7PM ET and January 10th at 10PM ET. I haven't seen this one yet, but if anyone out there has, what are your thoughts on it?
