Mythbusters Host Jobs Documentary Sunday

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 01:00 AM

"Discovery has commissioned a new documentary on the life of Steve Jobs and it will be hosted by the Mythbusters duo Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman."

Love the Mythbusters so this should be an interesting documentary to say the least! It airs on Discovery on Sunday, October 16th and is called "iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World." Fitting title I'd say, wouldn't you?

Steve Jobs, A Game Changer

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 11:34 AM

"Through interviews with friends, former colleagues and business associates, GAME CHANGERS reveals the many layers of the intensely private Steve Jobs - his style of leadership, management and creative process."

The video is about 50 minutes long, available now on the Bloomberg site, and is well worth viewing if you want some insight into Steve Jobs and what he has accomplished in the tech industry.

MacHEADS on CNBC

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.cultofmac.com/macheads-w...w+(Cult+of+Mac)

"If recent CNBC listings are anything to go by, someone in their programming department got wind that there is set to be an exciting new Apple product announced next month. Hot on the heels of news about CNBC's planned airing of the Welcome to Macintosh documentary on January 4th comes word that that the 60 minute documentary MacHEADS will air a day later on January 5th, 2010 at 10PM ET."

First "Welcome to Macintosh" and now "MacHEADS" will air on CNBC. If you miss it on January 5th, you can also catch it on January 6th at 1AM ET, January 7th at 9PM ET, January 8th at 12AM ET, January 9th at 7PM ET and January 10th at 10PM ET. I haven't seen this one yet, but if anyone out there has, what are your thoughts on it?

"‘Welcome to Macintosh', the independent documentary highlighting Apple Inc.'s history and following, is to make its exclusive North American television premiere on CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, on Monday, January 4 at 9:30PM ET."

You can also rent it from iTunes, or watch instantly on Netflix. It is worth watching if you are even the slightest bit interested in the history of Apple.

Welcome to Macintosh Available, Well, Everywhere!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.cultofmac.com/indie-movi...to-itunes/15391

"We're big fans of the unauthorized doc "Welcome to Macintosh" - a true love letter to the history of Apple and its community. Now this indie film is available on iTunes."

Incidentally, this is also available streaming via Netflix if you want to watch it instantly, something I did last night as a matter of fact. I thought it was a pretty good background on Apple, albeit one without a lot of substance but how in depth can you really get in 74 minutes? Anyway, it was certainly worth watching and now it is available in iTunes, as well as everywhere else!
