Twitter, Tweetie, It's All The Same

"Twitter has been growing by leaps and bounds around the world. Mobile has always been a focus for us-starting with SMS which lead to the 140 character limit. People everywhere should be able to access Twitter without friction or confusion."
So to help people achieve this, Twitter has purchased Atebits, and with it the popular Twitter client Tweetie. Tweetie will be renamed Twitter for iPhone in a few weeks time, and along with it a new price: free!. Sure beats the $2.99 USD price tag that Tweetie now carries.
