Still Have Questions About the Mac App Store?

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 05:00 AM

http://www.macworld.com/article/157...l_mwnws_h_crawl

"Since we posted our Mac App Store FAQ Thursday, I've received a lot of questions about the nitty gritty details of what you're legally entitled to do with an app you buy from the Mac App Store. I've updated the original FAQ story with those details, but I thought it was worth restating them here, too. So here goes."

In case you had questions that remained unanswered, about what your rights were with regards to apps purchased through the Mac App Store.

MobileMe Beta FAQ List Released

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 09:00 AM

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_...d&subj=MacFixIt

"Apple has posted a list of questions you may have regarding the recent MobileMe Mail beta release."

The list goes over a variety of changes for MobileMe in the recent beta release, including how to sign up, what languages are supported, settings and a few other things. I have yet to try this although I did get my email telling me I was in the beta club. Have any of you tried it? If so, what are your thoughts?

Possible Solutions to iPad Wi-Fi Problems

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 10:30 AM

"Having some problems with your iPad's WiFi connection? Apple's aware of the problem, and has some ideas on how to fix them. According to Apple, the iPad might not automatically rejoin known WiFi networks using third-party routers that are dual-band capable (802.11 b/g and 802.11 n) when each band's network uses the same name or use different security settings."

Of course the first step to the solution with any problem is to admit you have a problem, which Apple has done fairly quickly by posting this support article. An Apple employee has also posted an FAQ on the wireless problem with possible fixes at the discussion forums on Apple. I haven't experienced this yet but I know some of you have, so here are some resources to hopefully help you.

What Will You do With an iPad?

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Other Apple Hardware" @ 01:00 PM

http://www.macworld.com/article/145...ss_products_mac

"Apple speaks of the iPad as an in-between device-a digital media, Internet, and communications tool-that fits somewhere between an iPhone and laptop. And that makes sense. But where does it fit in your life's locations?"

And to end the day, take a look at this article, one persons ideas on how the iPad would fit into their life. For me, after thinking about it a few days, I can see several of the same uses, if not more with some business angles fit into the mix. All except for the use as a GPS as I'm thinking this might be quite large to have hanging off of your windshield, but it certainly would be easier to see while driving! If you are still not sure if you should get an iPad, just riding the fence so to speak like I am, check out this article at Macworld titled "The iPad: What you need to know."
