Apple Responds to Battery Problem: "There is no Problem."

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 02:45 PM

"Apple is responding to concerns that the new iPad has battery issues. Today, the company's Vice President of iPad marketing, Michael Tchao, went on record saying consumers have nothing to worry about. In fact, according to Tchao there is no issue at all."

You can read the interview here, but basically it is working as designed. What that means is that you can keep your iOS device plugged in as long as you like, due to the way the circuitry is designed, without fear of it being damaged. Tchao says it has always been a feature in iOS. What are your thoughts?

Charge Your USB Devices on the Road With This Handy Travel Charger

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 01:35 PM

"We've seen some rather inventive USB chargers in our time, but surprisingly few have managed to make charging while traveling a painless process."

Heck, I might even use this at home for regular charging. Power up to three devices and fold it up when you aren't using it. It is a bit pricey at $79.95 USD, but at least it won't become obsolete any time soon.

Having Problems Getting That Cable to Connect With Your iPhone 4? You are not Alone!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 05:00 AM

"Why won't my iPhone or iPad case work with this cable? is one of the questions we're being asked a lot lately. A naked iPhone can pretty much fit any sync, charge, or media cable you connect it with at home, at work, or on the go. When you start introducing some types of cases, however, and add in different kinds of cables - all bets are off."

I ran into this problem with my iPhone 4, the cable wouldn't stay connected unless I was using the specific cable that came with the iPhone 4. Kind of annoying as this meant my days of just grabbing any cable were over if I wanted to use it with my iPhone 4 when it was in a protective case. If you read the article, you can also pick up one of these cables at 50% off via TiPb. Well, I guess you don't have to actually read the article, you can just scroll down to the part about the deal on a cable if you so desire.
